What’s New

Version 6.1.4

We’ve removed the Extensions section from the settings screen — along with the rest of the Reddit API code.

Removing this code has the nice side effect of providing some small performance enhancements, though probably too small to be noticeable.

Picture in Picture?

This is by far the best RSS feed for video content, but I think it could be better.

Here are a few things I’m missing:

• Picture in Picture

• Background playback (for videos and podcasts)

• In app browser (instead of in app safari)

• An option to be redirected to your main browser when clicking on an article.
(in my use case this would be when clicking on an Invidious/(YouTube) video.)
(That way, you would get to use all the functions of your main browser, and it would eliminate one step in the process of having to click on the article and then having to press the browser icon.)

Other than this, the in app safari is a bit slow when loading Invidious/YouTube videos. This could often lead to the phone overheating. This is very unusual in other apps. This app uses an unusual amount of battery, probably because of the overheating.
