I built SinceTag for my own hobby projects.
I kept running into the same small mess. A few projects were moving at once, some had changes since the last tag, some were nearly ready, and some still had loose ends. Before I could release anything, I had to work out which project actually needed a release next, and what work remained before I was ready to tag it.
SinceTag keeps that view in one place on my Mac.
Add your local git repositories and SinceTag shows which projects have changes since the last tag, how much work has built up, and how long it has been sitting there. Repos with the most movement rise to the top, so the projects that need attention are the first ones you see. Released repos that still have open launch tasks stay above the fully finished ones, so the follow-up work does not slip. And projects that have never been tagged count their changes from the first commit, so new work shows up from day one.
Group related repos
Give each repo one icon category, such as iOS App, Mac App, or Client Work. Pending repos use the chosen icon, and the category stays visible on each card. Select one or more categories below the repo search to narrow the dashboard to the projects you want to see.
Open any repo
See the commits between the latest tag and HEAD, with lines changed and files touched. If you need more context, you can browse older tags and the "Initial commit" section for the work that came before the first release too.
Plan the next release
Each repo has a Next list for ideas, fixes, and release tasks. That is where I keep the work that still needs doing before the next tag. Drag the visible handles to put active items in priority order. The order stays the same when the app reopens. Completed items stay grouped by version, so I can see what got done for each release and share a clean summary when I need one.
Handle the launch follow-up
There is also a Launch tab for the work that happens after a release. I use it for things like App Store text, screenshot updates, and a short release note. One-time launch jobs and per-release tasks live side by side, and both lists can be put in the order that suits the release. The order is saved automatically. The dashboard shows how many launch tasks remain for each repo, so this work stays visible until it is actually done.
When you are ready to ship
Create a new tag from the app, then push it to GitHub without leaving the repo view. SinceTag also refreshes automatically when local git data changes, so the dashboard stays useful while you work.
