TrendNET has made this app useless
TrendNET made the decision to shut down their cloud services, starting from January 1, 2021. This effectively makes this app useless, as an error message of the cloud service not being available constantly appear. Instead, TrendNET recommend existing users to switch over to TrendNET IPView, which is an inferior alternative with no two-way communication, temperature measurement or music playback control. Also, most of its features is only available in the paid Pro version of the app. Couldn’t TrendNET at least have disabled the cloud feature of CloudView, so it could have worked as normal within the local network? This is a textbook example of planned obsolescence...
