Description

This app showcases selected work of current and former members of amateur photography clubs. The app requires an internet connection to get up to date membership lists, lists of photos, etc.

The app originally supported a single photo club in the Netherlands. Starting in version 2.0, the app was extended to support multiple photo clubs. This enables a user to view photos from multiple participating clubs without the hassle of locating the individual websites or discovering how to navigate each unique site. Starting with version 2.4.0, the app's name changed to "Photo Club Hub".

The app supports English as well as Dutch. The source code of the iOS app can be found on Github.com/vdHamer in order to support collaborative development of the software. Contributions of time, skills and ideas are greatly appreciated.

What’s New

Version 2.7.0

PORTFOLIO and WHO’S WHO SCREENS

• Milestone: the lists of club members are now loaded from `Level2` json files. See `README` on GitHub for how to add your own club.
• Swiping down the top of the screen erases and reloads all data. Wait a bit before swiping again (a concurrency issue).
• Added option to provide Dutch _Fotobond_ membership IDs. These may be displayed in the future.
• Added option to provide start and end dates of club membership. These may be displayed in the future.
• Removed option to provide e-mail addresses and phone numbers. Previous versions encrypted this data.

CODE MAINTENANCE

• There are 3 new toggles in Settings for testing and debugging purposes. They are safe to change, but non-default values may confuse you.
• Code improvement regarding try/catch for Level 2 JSON file loading submitted by _@codifyme_ from St. Petersburg. Well done.
• Tested on latest Xcode, iOS, VisionOS and MacOS 14.6.1.

DATA MAINTENANCE

• Added portfolios for the members of Fotogroep de Gender (Eindhoven). These portfolios will be visible on the club's website.
• Various minor corrections to json `Level 1` and `Level 2` files.
• Added a Wikipedia link for photo club fgDeGender. The link is mainly to demonstrate that this works for both clubs and museums.

DOCUMENTATION

• Updated dataModel.png diagram in README file (https://github.com/vdhamer/Photo-Club-Hub/blob/main/.github/README.md).
