“Time to form good habits,” you say to yourself. “And this time, I’m going to stick to them.”
But good intentions only go so far. Sometimes you need an app to stay on top of your goals, one that keeps you motivated, sends reminders and shows proof of your progress.
Streaks can help with that. It supports multiple tasks. Besides forming good habits, like getting enough sleep, reading every day and exercising for 30 minutes, you can work to break bad ones, like smoking, drinking or eating junk food.
Its interface also makes it easy to keep on top of things with a single glance. Every task is represented by a circle, and a long tap marks “complete” (or “abstained” for bad habits). A quick tap on the task icon shows your completed days over the month. Tap again to see overall consistency stats. Another long tap (or using 3D touch) expands the interface for more options.
The best part is that Streaks links with Health. Suppose your task is to get eight hours of sleep. It will automatically sync with Bedtime mode in iOS (or other sleep tracking apps) and mark it as complete. Similarly, Streaks will record other daily tasks like “walk 10,000 steps”, “exercise 30 minutes” or “meditate for 15 minutes”.
Hopefully this app will get you on the road to a better you. Just keep at it.
