2-Degrees Data Clock
For my lifestyle / always on the road in New Zealand as a 'digital nomad' - I purchase a whole week at a time of virtually unlimited data. I need it! 24/7. Then all my voice communications are via data using social media apps. And when driving I'm streaming music or listening to news radio stations via iTunes. Thus data clock system is the main reason i tell friends that 2-Degrees is the way to go when travelling around New Zealand. Coverage is good, generally speaking.
Mobile data cost per gigabyte?
This app is ideal for my purposes as a grey nomad going from town to town in New Zealand, but not aimless. My creative work depends on the internet. Currently if you pick the max time-span of 24 hours it costs NZ$7 (i.e., US$4.60). Theoretically that’s unlimited gigabytes, depending on speed. If theoretically you were talking on a video call for 24 hours non-stop, that might consume day 0.8 GB per hour or say 19GB. Do the maths. US$4.60 for 19GB works out to only US 22 cents per gigabyte.
Loving this app. Simple and easy to use. Nice design. In the beginning I don’t get used to the timing for data. After sometime, I realised the unlimited data and limited time really helped with lower my screen time and an improved productivity. I am more focused now to finish my use of internet in a certain amount of time and spend more time on sports, going out, and spend more quality time with friends and family. Thanks!
