Still seeing ads :/

I have this Adblock on my laptop, & it works like a charm, No ads whatsoever, however I have downloaded it onto my phone, set it up & everything, made sure everything was working fine, settings are as they should be, but it just won't work, I still get ads. I've tried playing around with the settings, thinking maybe I left something out/off but no. I honestly have no idea what's going on & I'm not sure if it's a problem on my side or if it's because of the app. Other than that, & how it works on my phone, it works amazing & does what it's supposed to on my laptop. (I've kept Adblock installed on my phone due to the fact that I have no idea of other adblockers or you have to pay a subscription, I've learnt to live with the fact that the ads aren't blocked but it still would be nice for there to be no ads)
Edit:
(I've actually now seen that a lot of people are having the same problems so now I feel more at ease but am still not sure of what adblocker to get, as I've mentioned before it works great on my laptop)

Doesn’t work

It just doesn’t work on iPad. The free version I’ve used on windows worked, this paid one doesn’t. Save your money and time.

Pensioners delight

We who are older think this app brilliant.
Blocking adds means we do not waste our now precious time winding our way through a sea
of adverts we have no wish to see, also with lower incomes we do not waste our cash so it is futile to have.
Thank you so much to the team with the knowledge to invent such a great app!!!
