I just purchased three films and when I try to play them I get the message “Something went wrong: content unavailable”. I just rebooted my phone and that seems to have fixed it. Hopefully it works ok now!

Are Valley video store is an iconic destination in Wellington. It always had the very best, hand picked festival, art-house & award winning cinema that was often overlooked and unavailable elsewhere. To think its still there and adapting is marvellous. Why? Because even on the Apple Movie Store, there’s little to no festival/ art-house cinema. What’s there is always the movies that have secured the most publicity and most likely, won an academy award. To get access to curated movies that mainstream streaming services largely ignore is wonderful and a perfect missing addition to my movie library apps. In fact, I’ve deleted 2 other subscriptions simply because I get so much more enjoyment from watching movies I’d otherwise never get to see.Thanks again for all your hard work at AroVision! 10/10

So I realised that you can only view your previously rented content from the website in the app and the app is just a convenient way to stream your previously purchased content either to tv or to watch directly on your device. It’s easier for me to stream from my phone to my tv and it’s a lot more tedious on my laptop. Ideally you’d be able to search the database and rent movies in-app in the future but I understand that this is an indie business and I like it enough as is, keep up the good work guys!

I’ve tried deleting and redownloading the app but it’s still stuck on the film I rented months ago. I can’t go home or the main menu. But I can keep playing rented film which is supposed to be expired so I guess that’s a silver lining lol. Unfortunate because I really wanted to like the app.
