HOW TO GET STARTED
• Download the Audible app, sign in with your Amazon account using an email address. If you don’t have one yet, start by setting it up
• Sign up to an Audible membership
• Choose any book to get started
• You can download to your device and your titles will be waiting in your Audible Library in the app
As an Audible member, you’ll receive one ‘credit’ each month, which you can use to purchase any audiobook of your choice. Each credit will rollover for up to 6 months (note that credit rollover may vary across surfaces) – so you can listen at your own pace. You can also cancel anytime, at no cost and your purchases are yours to keep, forever.

With best-selling audiobooks, exclusive podcasts, and Audible Originals you won’t find anywhere else, this go-to for audio lovers has one of the biggest spoken-word libraries anywhere. We love how much there is to explore—even beyond books. Stream relaxing sound baths, radio plays and dramatizations, language courses, and more.
Wish there was a percentage number
I adore Audible, it’s kinda expensive but the selection is unprecedented. It’s so great for encouraging more reading, as you can multitask while consuming a story.
I love how there is brand new and popular books on here, and you also don’t have to wait like you might on Libby.
In terms of the app, I wish you could purchase through the app. I wish that you could change the timer to view the percentage you were through the book, and that the overall progress timer was visible on books that were loaded in 2 parts. Finally, I wish that there were cost effective subscriptions for multiple books per month as I read maybe 2 audiobooks a week and find that Audible gets expensive so I rotate between this, Libby (which is connected to your library card, meaning that it’s free BUT they will only have a certain amount of copies of a book and you need to wait until a copy is available - like a normal library book - which can be loooong with new or popular books but has a STUNNING app interface that I believe is more intuitive than Audible), and less frequently I’ll listen to Scribd but the selection is average compared to either of the first two I choose and the app isn’t as pleasant as even Audible.
Overall, I love Audible because of the range and I would keep it purely based off of that however I also enjoy the interface and the experience of the books.

Good service, Bad support
Audible was reasonably good while I was using it though some would argue a bit on the pricey side. It’s a good service if you can’t find time to read yourself or just need to relax and listen to a book. If you try and cancel the service, boy are you in for a rough ride. For a start you can’t do this via the mobile app and have to go through their website. When you do eventually find the section and go through with it, there are no guarantees that you won’t continue to be billed. I cancelled and despite my membership saying it’s not active now as well as a confirmation email I was still charged at the end of the following month. Cancelled 21st Feb, membership officially ended on the 3rd of March I believe and then charged again on the 31st. You go through their first call option which is some sort of online call (after fighting disheartened through more roundabouts of help options) and the call just cancels after a few minutes of waiting, repeatedly. Try the toll free number and well guess what, it says it is not currently active!!! Classic scam warning signs but Audible isn’t a scam. I cancelled cause I don’t have a job now but I’m waiting to see whether some of my food money will disappear at the end of this month if I get charged again. Not happy!!
