Play Backgammon Gold – also called Tavla – anytime and anywhere for free on your smartphone or tablet. Play with your friends or against one of the strongest computer opponents.

Backgammon Gold
I love playing Backgammon and have recently downloaded this game. The only negatives are not being able to change the settings, e.g. Crawford and, after clicking on "accept" when a free player appears, you are refused by the other player. I have closed the game regularly because of this after waiting for quite some time for someone to accept. When you are new and played very few games your ELO is low so the other person does not know what kind of player you are and assumes because of your 1500+ rating that you are not a good opponent, so frustrating.

Addictive
Good for playing against someone else - or even against yourself! The computer makes some silly moves and it "cheats" sometimes when all of its pieces are in the home area and it starts bearing off ( for example, sometimes it throws a five but bears off from the sixth point; other times the piece on the second point suddenly pops over to my side of the board, sending me to the bar, and then goes all the way around the board till it is back in its home board) so I've stopped playing against the computer.
