Version 2024.2.1
We're continuing to improve the BBC app with every new update. This update will make it easier to find live coverage, easier to sign in to the app, and an all-around better experience when watching videos.
Ratings and Reviews
Reliable News
This is the best world news app I am aware of. The articles are balanced and a good range of coverage. Don’t mind short adds. Some articles however seem to be on for days, or same article with a different picture and a very minor change, can be very irritating when other news could be included. I look for informative accurate news not wordy artistic articles. Not found anything better yet.
Appalling new design
UPDATED APRIL 2024:
The latest iteration of the app brings an improved layout, reminiscent of a newspaper. While I am still not convinced that this is better than the original app, it is a big improvement on the previous ‘new design’.
The Search function is back, although somewhat hidden in ‘More’, but they have added a Save function here which is a useful addition.
‘My News’ has, sadly, not returned with this version, so you still cannot select your favourite topics to construct your own ‘newspaper’.
Overall, a huge improvement, but still not what it was.
improve my listening skills
This app helped me to improve my listening skills, in addition, provided a true news around the world and made me excited for different types of programs especially cultural programs and gave me good experience for it, I trust that app.
