Keep a backup credit card with you
App is good, 4 stars. Only problem is that password reset worked once today, I then tried resetting it a second and third time, but the temporary password email is not coming through at all.
Issues with the service itself
1) had many problems in Japan where the card did not work, but my other Mastercard always does. About 1/4 of transactions went through and only the large hotel chains.
2) wish they had made it MUCH clearer that you can only top up using instant reload once in a 24 hour period. So for anything urgent, you just get one shot!
3) the balance shown in this app (and website) does not take into account the pending transactions. Which makes it difficult to calculate how much you need to reload.
I got stuck in a situation encountering both 2 and 3 at the same time... so of course had to use another card with higher fees, there was no way to add more money, even after contacting customer services.
- In short, only use in conjunction with a more reliable credit card :)
Incorrect pin, poor service
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. For being in a foreign country, this is the most unreliable card with too many issues and a customer service line that won’t help/listen to you. After trying my card for the first time, the pin they had given me was WRONG and my card got blocked. I tried to call and get them to unblock it, and after going around in circles they just said “try the card again.” So I managed to get a new pin, tried the card again, and nope as expected...still blocked. I then emailed them to unblock my card, and the response was “it looks like you have called one of our representatives and your query has been addressed.” My card is still blocked, and can not contact anyone to get it unblocked. PLEASE go with another service, I would give it 0 stars if I could.

Do not use this service. I ignored these reviews and it was a mistake. Worked for 3-4 transactions and then our 2 cards were blocked after trying multiple times the call centre told us we must be using the wrong pin and nothing was wrong. They even charged us to get our money back off the cards when they were clearly not working. Pathetic service from the call centre and will never be using this again.
