There isn’t even any reasons to why it doesn’t work
I normally don’t write reviews but this annoyed me so much I felt the need to. The stupid little selector thing is so bad at its job that it just refuses to let you use it on certain spots, it just glitches out of existence and only does it on job on specific tiny areas around the picture. Not even angering, it’s that bad that it’s just an inconvenience to your day

I appreciate you sharing your review and I am sorry you were unhappy with using Color Name AR.
The app identifies and displays the name of the color in the tiny square you see on the screen and should work just as well in live view as well as when you select an existing photo.
I believe that what you are describing may have been a bug. If it happens again, please go to Live View, click the settings icon, and tap Send feedback. This will generate a bug report with technical details that will allow me to provide a fix as soon as possible.

Checking the blue on the NZ flag it says it is green.

Thank you for sharing your feedback on using Color Name AR. I am sorry your experience using it was, however, unsatisfactory.
Please allow me to clarify the options you have when using the app. Depending on which option you use for the reading, you must make sure you select the color you want the app to read. For example, if you are using the live view, the color must be within the small square located in the middle of the screen. If you are using a picture, you must use your finger to click on the color you want the app to read.
I hope my reply helps clarify how to use the app to get accurate readings and you continue to use and enjoy Color Name AR.
