It consists of a set of interactive and multisensory controllers, called Cosmo Dots, and interactive activities that motivate learners to develop motor, cognitive and communication skills through purposeful play, music and movement.

This is a big update! Cosmo 2.10.17 introduces the new Cosmo Music learning suite and a fresh wave of Cosmo Grow activities.
Cosmo Music
- Improvisation: six ways to make music with your dots — Free Play, Whack-a-Mole, Melody Copy Cat, Rhythm Copy Cat, Melody Timing and Song Play — with scales, an on-screen keyboard and backing drum tracks.
- Song Play: build chord-and-melody songs, choose from a catalogue of over 25 instruments, and save your own presets.
- My Orchestra: fully redesigned for easier group music-making.
- Music Connect: use your Cosmo dots to play GarageBand, ThumbJam and other music apps.
Cosmo Grow
- Guided Reading: two new stories — “A Snug Spot for Glenn” and “Pig, Hen, Duck” — a new Nursery phonics phase, a refreshed reading screen, and back-page comprehension quizzes.
- Social Scenes: new stories and friendly new voiceovers.
- Mood Checker: ready-made question sets and clearer insights.
- Guided Movement: updated animations and a new Fine Motor collection.
- Number Detective: practise missing numbers with turn-taking and progress insights.
Plus new activity artwork, curriculum links for every activity, and many fixes and polish from our summer testing with schools.

- Cleaner activity endings — when you finish or exit an activity, the connected Cosmo dots now return to a calm white and stop responding, so it's always clear when a session has ended.
- Refined the Guided Movement Calm collection by removing an unused movement.
- Dot Troubleshooting now updates instantly as dots connect or disconnect, and the dots return to white when you close it.

This update brings smoother play and a few helpful fixes across the app:
- Dot Troubleshooting now lights your Dots in colour and shows them right away, so it's easier to
follow the steps.
- Mood Checker is tidier to set up — adding your own questions and learners is simpler, and
duplicate names are prevented.
- Activities behave more reliably, including clearer colours on the Dots and cleaner endings when a
game finishes.
- Plus general polish and small fixes throughout.

* Multi-Account Switching & Presets: Easily switch between multiple accounts on the same device. Each account now securely preserves individual user presets, including Dot colours, touch sensitivity, and activity settings.
* Enhanced PIN Security: To protect individual student data and settings, the app now features a 4-digit PIN requirement. (New users will set this up immediately; existing users will be prompted upon updating).
* Introducing Cosmo Grow (Pilot Phase): We are introducing a brand-new learning suite tailored specifically for Early Years. Designed to improve school readiness, it focuses on attention, social interaction, and emotional regulation.

Improved Bluetooth setup guidance. Cosmo now alerts you if Bluetooth access for the app is turned off in your iPad settings and takes you straight to Settings so your devices can reconnect more easily.
