Crashing and fall of wickets feedback

Overall I quite enjoy using CricHQ with how easy it is to score and update scorecards for the Cricket Wellington Premier competition games.

Last weekend after the new version of the app came through, we had significant problems with the app on an iPad using iOS 14.1. The app would continuously crash after trying to edit a ball as the wrong batsmen was selected. Our scorer struggled and eventually we had to give up because it started showing the same batter batting twice at the same time. I note that we used a hotspot to set up the match initially then was not connected to the internet during the game. Luckily we had a second scorer using the previous version of the app on another iPad so we were able to continue.

Another thing I noticed using the new version of cricHQ on my iPhone that when looking at the scorecards, the flow of wickets (FOW) is missing to show exactly the score, overs and batter who got out. When I check via the webpage or on a desktop the FOW exists on the scorecard.

This was a useful scorecard feature that should be reinstated on the app!

Developer Response ,

Hi,
I apologise that you were having issues scoring. Version 9.0.5 has been our most stable release yet, but I'll continue to fix the rest of those tricky crashes!

The FOW is now back on the scorecard for version 9.0.7 with more fixes. Any other issues please send them to our support so we can sort them asap.

Thanks,

Daniel Ryan

Was great

This app minus a few hiccups such as loosing the match I was on when swapping apps briefly was bearable and useful however the new update since logged me out, now lost the ability for scorecard and all the useful things this app was good for. Such a shame was a handy little thing now barely any use. Hopefully developers change it back

Developer Response ,

Hi,
Losing a match when swapping sounds like a bug; I'll see if I can improve this.
I'm a little confused in what you mean "lost the ability for scorecard". A few things have moved around including the scorecard. There are some small features that were not completed in time for the 9.0 release and I will look at adding those back soon. Please contact our support and share your feedback and we will look at fixing these problems asap.

Thanks,
Daniel Ryan
