Edge 4+

I bought it right after seeing the video on TouchArcade. Thought I'd give it a quick try-out, even though it's 1:30am, and 30 minutes later is was still hard to stop. This is (quite seriously) the best game I've bought in the six months I've owned the phone ..and I have over 300 Apps ..many paid for. (update: and six months and 250 apps later, this is still my favourite ..and my wife's, and my daughters.) :)

The gameplay is brilliant. Someone in the forums mentioned Marble Madness, this feels to me somehow like Spindizzy. It's a platform and puzzle game rolled into one gorgeous package. And the sound design .. wow. Amazing. (Try it with headphones.) The music is like an orchestra of SID-chips (6581) for anyone who ever had a c64. ..Love this game.

Update: And many many months later it's still a cool game. The retro music and slick presentation rock. ..and it's still receiving the occasional new level. Nice.

A great casual action puzzler with fantastically designed graphics and uber catchy 8-bit music. You control a glowing cube, dragging on the screen to move it around the isometric cube environment collecting 'prisms', smaller glowing cubes that are levitating without falling off the level. The aim of the game is to get to the exit in the fastest time possible, collecting as many prisms as you can with as minimal fall-outs as possible.

The game starts out quite easy for the first 15 levels, introducing you to some of the things that the levels might do to you. After Level 16 however, the game starts teaching you how to use 'edge time', slowly rolling your cube up the side of another cube as it is moving, so you can navigate difficult gaps in the level.

Each level is easily finished in under 3 minutes, so you can play a level while you're at the bus stop or waiting for a friend to meet you.

Me, I love the music, especially the track that first features in Level 7.

Edge is a fantastic game that any self respecting iDevice owner should have in their library.
