F1 TV 12+

When casting from phone it pauses stream and jump back to start of the video whenever the phone is unlocked. No saving of current progress of video which is annoying if you need to stop midway through a race. Overall the app looks nice but the player is too clunky and lacks the features expected from a modern streaming service.

On desktop you have an option to change the quality to help with bandwidth, but that option isn't available on the iPad app. Despite very high download speeds and a good connection, the app frequently drops to terrible image quality and you can barely read the standings or lap times. Even pausing it to help it buffer for a while makes no difference. Sometimes closing the app and reopening it helps, but most of the time you're left with terrible image quality. Please add the option to change from auto quality to user selected. Secondly, the suggested videos could do with improvement. If I've just watched FP1 in France then the obvious next suggestion is FP2 in France, but instead you're suggested other FP1 sessions from older races. Finally, please add a 'back 10 seconds' and 'forward 10 seconds' option as that would be a big bonus for watchability.

Updated: the ten skip has been added but the quality issues are much worse. The quality drops to potato camera level to save bandwidth but I'm on a high speed connection and switching to any other device provides high quality images with no issues in buffering. It's now basically unwatchable on my iPad Pro.

Works as it should, happy with the app, however, not happy that after 3 months of a 12 month subscription they have stopped access and will only reinstate if I purchase another 12 months and try and get a refund of the unused portion from Apple. Apple have declined that and F1TV won’t resolve it. Just be aware that F1TV don't like resolving issues. **update - Apple continue to refer me to the developer and the developer continues to refer me to Apple…developer wants me to pay again for the app even though I already have and want Apple to refund me for the old subscription…Apple won’t refund. It’s an endless loop of the blame game and the end result is I’m out $99 and I have no access to the app unless I pay another $99 …that’s called a scam….

**Further Update**
F1TV won’t even communicate with me and won’t provide a phone number. Apple have refused to deal with it as well. If you do purchase it make sure you do it direct and not through Apples App Store. Then if it goes wrong F1TV have to deal with it.
