We are frequently offered suggestions for possible duplicates or possible relatives on a very tenuous basis, e.g. same name, little or no event, date, or location detail. We are then asked to accept or reject. When I have birth place and date information and names of spouse and children etc I am not about to agree to a match or duplicate resolution with a name only. But not everyone is as cautious as me. I am powerless to stop someone else in a cavalier fashion undermining my established relationship links by making an unsubstantiated claim. I remember once finding that my deceased father had been delinked (unsealed) from my deceased mother by someone’s ill-advised intervention. More needs to be done to restrict access to such meddling and to protect well established data and such sacred ordinances.

Amazing a person from America is visiting NZ when I said I use Family Tree App and go as far back as Year 116 it’s amazing. He said have you used the scan relatives around me I said No didn’t know about that feature so he showed me what do and viola we amazingly came up as 14th cousins via a Scottish connection from my fathers side and his Mother’s side … so awesome you just never know sometimes when you are talking to someone you just click with and get along with pays to scan for relatives as you just might find that you are related like I was 🙂

Family tree, Sorry but I am finding instructions hard to understand, possibly because of my age. However I manage online shopping etc, so possibly not. Margaret Larsen née Gunn. I tried to show that my father, Charles Nevynne Gunn was married twice, once in1911 to Margaret Miriam Strongman, until her death in1929. He later married my mother, DorisAgnes Strongman in1932.
