Almost perfect

Really love fantastical, except for one problem - it constantly pops up a permission dialog requesting my location which has become very frustrating.

Their support response time is amazing, but has been unable to resolve this issue (though it is less frequent now than previously).

Otherwise excellent app.

Long time Cardhop user...

I always thought I didn't need a third party calendar app - the built in one did everything I needed.

Cardhop was a brilliant Contacts replacement for me - on both Mac and iOS - particularly with it's ability to search across external directories as well as built in contacts.

I started using Doodle to make it easier to schedule time with multiple external parties. Imagine my suprise when I found that Fantastical could do all that with a Flexibits subscription.

Not only that, but Fantastical had *more* functionality for less $$ than Doodle AND the Flexibits subscription included extra functionality in Cardhop.

What a revelation - Fantastical and Cardhop have transformed my business time and made everything easier/better. The number of people who've said "wow, that's cool" when they click my Openings link in my signature is astounding.

Well done Flexibits - you've made a huge difference to me. Thank you.

Ripped off

Paid up front for Fantastical 2. Turns out that investment was only good for 3.5 months before version 3 was released with the new subscription model. No consideration for recent purchasers whatsoever!

Additionally, unlike numerous other calendar apps (and unlike Fantastical on iOS and iPadOS), Fantastical 3 refuses to use calendars subscribed through macOS. One of my most important calendars is Office 365 and has been locked down to approved apps only. macOS is an approved app, Fantastical is not. Various people requested that Fantastical be approved, but the security team returned a very unflattering risk assessment.

Fantastical is now, thanks to this refusal to use system calendars, completely worthless to me.

Developer Response ,

All of the features you paid for with Fantastical 2 are available in the new Fantastical, this is exclusive to Fantastical 2 customers. If that's not the case, please contact us: https://flexibits.com/contact

Regarding the approved apps, this is up to companies to whitelist Fantastical. If the IT Department of your company needs any information from our side you can forward them to us and we'll be happy to clarify any question 🙂
