Got tired of Chrome just hitting me with ads before I even typed in what I wanted started to seriously freak me out. Nothing to hide but doesn’t mean to say strangers are entitled to take my information I haven’t knowingly shared. Billion dollar industry making billions on other peoples’ data. You say the Chinese are spying - wow. Firefox is a dream to use and respects my privacy

Used Firefox for years but started looking elsewhere.Each new update seems to lose functionality.One example: Closing all / multiple tabs on iPad and phone really hard work now as so obscure to find the icon / link to do so. Other browsers make it much easier.The latest huge annoyance is, when I move from an open tab to look up or do something in another app or copy information from elsewhere to that page, when I click back on the active tab it jumps back to home page instead , with the page I was on minimised and lurking somewhere in a “ jump back in” list.It is VERY disconcerting when the page closes as I click back on it and I cannot find where to change this annoying setting.I DON’T want it to disappear and have to work out where it went to get back in. I just want to keep my workflow and get on with whatever I was doing. Like paste information into a text box or web form.It’s especially confusing if for example I had several tabs open from a site and they all look similar in the “ jump in” format so I get distracted having to find it then scroll to wherever I was .Sadly going back to Safari but will miss all the things that made Firefox top of the game. At least on the app. Web version may be different.

Hi! We are sorry to hear about the issues you have encountered in Firefox for iOS. I understand how you prefer not seeing a new tab opened when you launch Firefox. You can change this by going to Settings > Home Page > select "Last Tab". We do update the app to fix unresolved issues and add new features. We hope that you consider trying Firefox on your device again in the future.

Update to developers response.No…Not joining/signing up to another “community” to help solve problems that shouldn’t be there in the first place. A dedicated bookmark button was there in an old build….you took it away for this mess.The problem with deleting individual website cookies has been there since day one!Second: There is NO World Cup widget for the ios app. I can’t even get it for the laptop either (both running latest versions). This is false!Theres only 5 widgets under ios settings for Firefox.(quick actions, shortcuts, quick view(2 versions) and web site shortcuts )There is NO OPTION for widgets within the Firefox ios app.Been a long time fan of Firefox on my laptop and use to use it on the iPad but not anymore.The layout now is messy and confusing.Just getting to your bookmarks is a pain. why cant it not have a dedicated icon/button for this?Trying to delete website data or cookies individually is a real pain. you can only select a few at a time.The latest update adds a World Cup widget but there is none. ?.??Yes you can sync data (bookmarks etc) across devices but lets face it most browsers do that now.There are better browser apps out there

Incognito tabs not saved

I’m often using incognito mode for sites I’m not wanting to have track me, and have several tabs open in this mode. When relaunching Firefox it would resume my Incognito mode & could continue using the open tabs as before. However, 2 updates ago this all changed. Now any open Incognito tabs are deleted & I cannot re-use them like I could before. Now I have to go back to each one in order to visit those sites again. Very frustrating. Please restore the original behaviour that was always occurring as I’m now tempted to use a different browser app that works how Firefox used to.
