Excellent game still holds up today
Similar to stronghold but with a focus on defences and no resource management.
NO ADVERTS!!! Yay
Each time you lose you get money for the enemies you managed to kill. The level resets with the defences you had built and you use the money you earned to build your castle defences a little stronger so during the next round you can kill more and earn more money to make your defences stronger again.
however...... if you don’t realise and play through till the enemy has almost destroyed everything and then win.....
You may end up in a situation where you can’t even kill one guy and have no money. In this case your stuck.
The game indirectly encourages you to not win but to win while taking minimum damage.
A cheat I use is to set up a pitch and keep an archer on the wall behind Arthur. I then have Arthur stand on the pitch.
If I’m going to win but I’ve lost too much of my defence I have the archer light the pitch and kill Arthur so I can use the money (lots since I killed a lot of enemies) for better defence and not have to struggle to earn money the next round.
It would be nice if there were more buildings or units to unlock
Awesome game
I love the game but it would be cool if there was a sandbox mode where the player gets unlimited money and gets to decide which enemy troops attack there castle so like the player could build a massive castle and have tons of troops attack it if you would ever consider doing this pls replay to my review and let me know thanks
