Wonderful books - shame about the points
Absolutely enjoying all of the books ai have on the go in my library. Well written, diverse and intriguing. But it is disappointing that you can only read one chapter at a time & have varied time limits between chapters. Some books it’s 5hrs, some eventually go to a 36hr wait between chapters which I think is ridiculous. Would love a different scheme to get free points, like daily goals. Read 15min get 2points. Or something similar to that. Would just make it a little nicer than waiting for daily points to accumulate enough to open a chapter. Otherwise good app. Stories are interesting and really pull you in. Will continue to use the app despite its flaws.
Galatea
I was intrigued when I saw an ad on Facebook for The Arrangement and have found the story quite addictive. I was really enjoying it until the free chapters ran out, I started paying small amounts $9.99 as I couldn’t wait 6hrs but the points very quickly got used up and the wait time kept getting longer so I stopped, then I discovered the ways to get free points. Sadly though it started feeling like a game when I just wanted to enjoy the book. The year subscription for me is a lot to pay up front and would like to suggest a say $12 monthly and or $30 3 monthly subscription to make it a little more affordable.
Addictive but keeps freezing
I keep finding at the end of a chapter the screen freezes (and this is on a latest model iPhone with no other issues). The stories are very addictive and some are written well however, some clearly need a proof reader to just spend ten minutes on them and make them fit for reading! The 6hour wait between chapters can be annoying and if the books had been better quality I would have subscribed by now.
Also, I have come to the end of several of these books now and they have NO ending. They are like a badly written first movie where the sequel is the focus but not even filmed yet. Lots had a promising start then nothing happens for 5-6 books and then it all ends without resolution either. I’m guessing there’s some addiction psychology in Galatea’s modelling but it’s making me increasingly close to permanently deleting this app
