Volcanic & Quake updates

Information about geological events in NZ especially living in the Taupo volcanic zone we read everything Geo Net comes through on my iPhone
That 5.9 earth quake that happened near Te Kaha
at about 5.30 am recently, all our wooden venetian blinds banged in the window frames, I didn’t get up up, later in the day I read quake alert, resized it was an earthquake, we live in Rotorua westside under Mt Ngongotaha.
I am very interested in all information we get from Geo Net. Thank you!

Getting a lot of unnoticeable data

I’ve had this app for well over 10+years and it has been amazing. For the last 2 or so years I have struggled to get some of the earthquakes that I have selected over light and above. What I do get. And have had today alone approx 8 unnoticeable earthquakes! Others I know do not get these on their app. And then when I do refresh. I get some that occurred yesterday that are over my weak and above. Yet I don’t get those notifications when they do occur. I deleted the app and reinstalled it. But it is still the same for me. What has changed? I am sick of my phone notifying me of irrelevant earthquakes as I do not feel I should get those!

Love this app but one thing…

The app is great, thank you for it.
However the one thing that is annoying is that when you set alerts for quake sensitivity there is no way to save that setting so that it stays there permanently.
As soon as you exit the app then return it defaults back to week.
You shouldn’t have to keep the app running permanently in the background to maintain the settings as that is one more drain on batteries.
If that could be fixed as far as I’m concerned the app is perfect.
