What’s New

Version 2.1.0

This release has some significant improvements! We’re excited to share that we’ve added support for widgets and quick actions to bring more Grammarly functionality to the home screen. Documents now also load faster. Bugs we fixed include: crashes involving hardware keyboards on iPad, English dialect not updating on iPhone, and a stuck backspace issue.

Grammarly works best on iOS 15.4 or higher. If you haven’t updated your OS yet, we recommend doing so to ensure you keep receiving suggestions to help strengthen your writing wherever you type.

Personal Dictionary Definitions

So, Grammarly is actually pretty great. So far I actually really like it. However, I would like to see a little advancement in the personal dictionary. It would be nice if we could make sections, for example, a section for names, a section for places, etc., just for organizational purposes. I would also like to be able to add personal definitions. If there is a word I've added to my dictionary, I would like to be able to write just a short description of its uses and meaning.
Other than this, Grammarly has been overall useful to me, as an aspiring author, and I would recommend it.

Personal dictionary problem

Every time I add something to my personal dictionary, it keeps deleting it so every time I write someone name multiple time it wants me to correct it even though I've already added it to my dictionary

Unstable keyboard with lacking spellcheck

This review compares to the apple keyboard (UK English): I love Grammarly; they do what they say they do. What I find is there are some major flaws with this app though.
1: quick replies via SMS do not recognise the keyboard
2: accidental mistyping errors (ones that apple finds) doesn't get corrected - GK recognises them as unknown words rather than likely words based on grammar and writing style.
3: sometimes ehej (GK recognizes ”they” when the word was actually when... See what I mean?) I'm typing some letters are missing (like it can't handle fast rulers (no GK, the word was TYPERS). UGH!
This keyboard is just... frustrating to use!
