Now supports ipod touch 2G sound input
This is a very good application I like the icon and the graphics and it's very user friendly and bug free.
It now supports iPod Touch 2G, including the tuner if you have compatible headphones with a mic. iPod 1G users can still use it to tune by ear. I will update my review of the tuner when I get said headphones and will compare Guitar Toolkit's tuner with AP Tuner on my PC. Between the tuner, metronome, ability to hear strummed and plucked strings and the chord charts with the fingerings this is a great all in one app. The tuner also has alternate tunings like drop D etc. The only thing I can think they could add in the future would be the ability to record, perhaps with the metronome optionally ticking away in the background. Then you could hear yourself play. As it stands, an excellent application for guitarists and well worth the money, even in NZD.
This used to be great
Well, this app used to be a 5/5, but something changed about 18 months ago.
The App used to be very fast but is now extremely laggy. Just when you think a page is going to open you are hit with a full page advert.
It is now a frustrating experience to even browse through my favourites.
I suggest you simplify this app to focus on delivering content quickly.
Very happy with Guitar Toolkit
I’ve been using this app since a friend recommended it a few years ago. All the old bugs seem to be fixed and it works flawlessly for me.
We use it for guitar, bass and ukulele and it works well for all of them.
The chord finder for different instruments is very useful too.
I’ve recommended it to my dad who uses it for his mandola (octave mandolin) and he’s happy with it too.
