A great App

I love the app. Takes me back 60 years when I learned to type on an old Olivetti manual typewriter. Those were the days of solid long-lasting equipment when mistakes had to be carefully rubbed out or corrected with white-out. So we typed with care and precision.

Data Mining

I want to use the Hanx Writer that I paid for, but, before I deploy it into my phone there’s a huge warning from Apple pops up; “this product will mine all data you type on your device including mining any historical data”
Seriously?!! Can I just not by the app and happily use it without some faceless corporate raping my personal information for whatever purposes the see fit to use it for or group they choose to sell it to?
I read through extremely dense developer terms and conditions and yes it seems they can do whatever the hell they like.
Very dissatisfied and very disappointed

Mixed messages on data

First, it’s a bit too realistic. For example, Double spacing doesn’t give you a period, and no predictive spelling. Second, it says up front they don’t collect data but if you select Allow Full Access so you can use it with all apps it says it allows the developer to transmit everything you type. I could live with the first problem but not the second. I’ll delete it. It’s too bad. It’s a cute idea.
