Needs term deposit maturity instructions

Good app but it is quite basic in functionality. I’d like to see the feature to change term deposit maturity instructions instead of having to send off a query to help staff. Other banking apps have this functionality which I prefer so that I can self serve and be more in control over my cash!

Since Custer service Centre is so busy, I always try to do something through the app, it says I can proceed but it never does. I recommend you to fix those bugs. I always end up calling customer service and wait on the line for 45minutes.
For example, when I tried to refund money from my term deposit account, I put ANZ bank account number but the app said “invalid bank account number. Please put valid New Zealand account number.” I’m pretty sure I put correct number… Secondly, I tried to open another term deposit account through the app, it says “Please choose the Heartland bank account you would like to fund your term deposit from; “. I don’t have any other account, so I can’t choose anything. Then the app doesn’t let me proceed. It is such a waste for both you and us that the function is right there, but useless. The app itself is simple and easy to use, so… hope it gets better!

Slow but provides basic functionality

Coming from ASB app, this is slow to load (iPhone 14). No ability to suspend cards or change PINs. Transferring from savings to revolving account takes up to two days. Transferring money from another bank to Heartland takes up to 2 days. Would be nice to see 2 hour transfers like major banks, and instant transfers within Heartland accounts. I do like faceID login, however this is not always the default, and sometimes you have to prompt it but touching the faceID icon to initiate a faceID log in. A good user experience is what drives happy customers, and currently this feels like an MVP product. Layout is great, and I can see the potential, however priority should be given to reducing delays and backend optimisation before more features are added. Good luck.
