Just got the app, seems to be nice so far and everything works fine. It would be good if the app loaded a little faster however, my ANZ app loads in a few seconds, this takes over 10. I also wish the account selected which also show its current interest rate, which is a super helpful feature to have.

Since Custer service Centre is so busy, I always try to do something through the app, it says I can proceed but it never does. I recommend you to fix those bugs. I always end up calling customer service and wait on the line for 45minutes.For example, when I tried to refund money from my term deposit account, I put ANZ bank account number but the app said “invalid bank account number. Please put valid New Zealand account number.” I’m pretty sure I put correct number… Secondly, I tried to open another term deposit account through the app, it says “Please choose the Heartland bank account you would like to fund your term deposit from; “. I don’t have any other account, so I can’t choose anything. Then the app doesn’t let me proceed. It is such a waste for both you and us that the function is right there, but useless. The app itself is simple and easy to use, so… hope it gets better!

Coming from ASB app, this is slow to load (iPhone 14). No ability to suspend cards or change PINs. Transferring from savings to revolving account takes up to two days. Transferring money from another bank to Heartland takes up to 2 days. Would be nice to see 2 hour transfers like major banks, and instant transfers within Heartland accounts. I do like faceID login, however this is not always the default, and sometimes you have to prompt it but touching the faceID icon to initiate a faceID log in. A good user experience is what drives happy customers, and currently this feels like an MVP product. Layout is great, and I can see the potential, however priority should be given to reducing delays and backend optimisation before more features are added. Good luck.

Finally a mobile app - this makes things a lot easier as the internet banking is really not very user friendly. Can check balances, transfer out to nominated account and even open a new account or TD through the app. Very good start. The only thing still missing that I can do with my ASB, Kiwibank, ING & Amex apps is use my fingerprint to log in. Add that and I’d be a very happy customer.PS: would’ve loved to have had some kind of email newsletter telling me the app was released - found out today on a forum!
