Description

ID Security alerts you if your personal information has been leaked onto the internet or the dark web, allowing you to take action to protect your online security and privacy. In 2020, ID Security detected over 8,500 data leaks and the leaks containing more than 12 billion pieces of personal data.

Because the dark web is only accessible through encrypted networks and hidden from regular web browsers and search engines, it is filled with sites illegally selling consumer data such as Social Security numbers, credit card numbers, and email addresses. These types of data are regularly used by cybercriminals to commit various crimes, including identity theft. According to a leading U.S. identity theft report, 47% of Americans have experienced financial identity theft, and in 2020 the total cost to victims was $56 billion – the highest amount in recorded history.

Don't be the next victim. Get ID Security for comprehensive personal data protection and monitoring for 30 days for free!

Felt duplicated service on security app

As a Trendmicro customer already I found this app duplicated what I should already have covered. When checking email it suggested changing website logins and passwords but they were websites we have no links to. So why would you go into dubious website to update information that was never valid anyway. Just odd so much private and significant personal information would be requested in one place online...especially via an app..when you have no idea where it is ending up. Just comes across as a bad image for your brand that works off customer fears to have a bundle of info gift wrapped and handed over. Uninstalled.

Developer Response ,

Thanks for sending your feedback.
ID Security will tell you what your personal information happened during this period, many types of breach events ID Security know, for example, "website leak", "database leak" and "credential stuffing", that is why some of the breach events can't link to a website.
We apologize for the questions you've had with our app, we are always looking to improve the experience for our customer, and really appreciate the feedback
Another, before requesting to our server, your private and significant personal information will be hashed.
ID Security don't know your personal information with clear text, that is to say, we haven't store your personal information with clear text in our server.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at idsafe-support@trendmicro.com. Sincerely, ID Security Team
