Simplify and automate everyday tasks between apps by creating custom recipes with “if this, then that” statements. With hundreds of supported apps and services, you can customise a seemingly endless number of powerful connections.

Automatically Cool

Connecting these services to your smart devices is simplicity itself. Just find the condition you need to throw the switch, add the switch and you are done.

Like, check the weather to see when it’s cloudy to turn off the solar pumps and then back on again when it’s clear.

WTH

Maybe I’m an idiot, but this app is ridiculously hard to use, to the point I can’t find where any of the functionality is. It seems to have taken a minimalist design aesthetic to the extreme by removing all buttons, help text, instructions, etc. It’s like a house where a minimalist architect decided doors and windows were so 2010 an so made the design an impenetrable cube. I have routines set up to run from the website, but when I disconnected the services and got errors I tried to use the app and it said I have nothing configured. Nada. Zip. Everything is blank. Except for the activity log, THAT it knows has things going on. There are just two buttons: Explore and Create. Create is a blank void, where tapping, swiping, holding, pinching do nothing. Explore brings up a bunch of routines, which isn’t helpful as I haven’t told it what hardware I have. Anyway, rant over. IFTTT is a fabulous concept and works great when you get things set up. But this app is a big fail. (Tested on new iPad Air 2020.)
