There’s only one thing easier than visiting the library: bringing it to you. Meet Libby, an app that lets you log in to your local library to access ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines, all for the reasonable price of free. Sign in, link your library card, and go—it’s that simple.
Love this App
As an avid reader I have found this App to be a godsend. I read quickly and easily finish an average book in a day. When travelling I would commonly pack a half dozen books which always caused issues with baggage weight. Now I can have books downloaded ready from the library and no problems with being over weight limits. I love how you can place books on 'hold' and you are notified they are available to download immediately - no traipsing off to a physical library to collect - of course, Murphy’s law dictates that when you have several on hold they will arrive all together but with the new feature of being able to put your hold back and stay top of the list this is no longer a problem. A great and convenient app.
WTH!!!!
I was in the MIDDLE of listening to an audiobook and it suddenly stopped, I looked at the app and it said you have returned the book - thanks! How could this happen? It just doesn’t make sense now I have to wait WEEKS before I can listen to it again. Also, you have ridiculous amounts of copies of some audiobooks (i’m guessing you thought I’d be popular like Game of Thrones) while only a couple of copies of really popular books making people wait half a year before they can listen. The other regular problem is audiobooks ONLY available in a foreign language, These are the books that get loaned out and returned almost immediately - your in 20th place then suddenly the books in ready in under a day and then you see why. These are major titles as well - only available in a language very few people in the country speak. The other other problem is when you don’t have a couple of books from a series - you’ll have book 1 and 3 but no book 2.
