Love Villa: Choose Your Story 17+

I didn’t think that I would actually keep this game for long. After looking at a few of the reviews and past experience from playing other games not unlike this one, I didn’t have too high hopes. However, this game unexpectedly surprised me.

The passes or tickets you need to start a new episode regenerate way quicker than other apps. I’m pretty sure two regenerate after 40 minutes compared to the four hours other games usually require.

The storyline, so far (I haven’t been playing for very long) is interesting and interactive. With the gems, I though this would be where the game was a letdown. Although most outfits costs 10 gems, which you can’t use again, and other decisions ranging from 5-10 gems, I found it easier to earn the gems. You start off with 21 gems and get one gem per episode. However, you can earn a total of 2 gems per episode by watching one ad. This makes it easy to earn lots of gems to use when it actually matters, such as more decision-based gem ‘payments’.

I would really recommend this game to anyone who enjoys Love Island or interactive, story based games. I give this app a four-star-rating, only because I haven’t been playing for terribly long so I am unaware of whether anything gets worse. Thanks!

I am someone who absolutely adored this game during S1 and S2. Season 2 particularly had a range of characters, interesting storylines, etc. However Season 3 feels like a let down. It is very short, lacks a large range of dialogue, none of the Love Interests (LIs) are very unique, and there is no real drama.

I have tried to continue on with Season 3 however the most frustrating part is that the game will not load past 24% on the loading screen. Every time, it will load to 24% then say there was an error and will reload and then will get to 24% again and then crash. I have turned off Game Centre but there is no way to get it to load other than to delete the app and then redownload it, in which case that time it will load and work but as soon as I close the app or leave it for an hour, I come back and it will not load again (only up to 24%). This is completely frustrating and I do not want to delete and redownload the app everytime I want to play an episode. I have an iPhone 8 so its not that my phone is old, and I have heaps of storage left.

Regardless of how I feel about season 3, I really really really love this game and think its so unique and well done! If this loading error can get fixed I would definitely give the app 5 stars :)

The first season was good, the bugs were very minor and the narrative made sense. But in the second season, it makes no sense! The bugs are silly and I’m left feeling confused and cheated (in the way of not being in total control of my characters story and choices).

The last episode I played, my character was having a conversation with their current partner, that said partner was asking for a second chance and I chose yes, literally in the same convo, that partner did a 180 and said it was best to end it even though they were ecstatic to hear my character say yes to a second chance. And then they walk off, little bit after the same character (the partner that dumped me) comes back and acts like a different character (obviously this is a bug where these characters are being mixed up and duplicated, therefore telling me I have to steer my characters narrative this way and that way). Anyway, it’s a fun game and I enjoy it, but these bugs in the second season need to be addressed pronto and y’all need to give us narrative freedom, cheers!!
