Description

Marine NZ is an iPhone/iPad universal application which gives you access to all the catalogue of nautical raster charts for New Zealand (from Linz Hydrographic Service material)

One of the biggest features in Marine GeoGarage service is that the charts are tied to the GeoGarage server : so no need to purchase or reload charts.
This means that the chart data will be always updated, constantly changing when Linz releases new updated charts.

Marine NZ uses the embedded GPS to display the track of your boat in real-time on the multi-touch scrolling and zooming nautical chart.
Waypoint plotting with course and distance to the boat are the additional features of this basic but user-friendly mobile app.

Does what it says

This app does what it says and nothing more. A good simple app. However, maybe i expected a little more for the price. Works ok, but would be nice to be able to add text notes to waypoints. Maybe future release?

grabbed first version but it didn't work too good on OS4, they have now upgraded and this is perfect app and well priced, others too expensive.
i go fishing heaps and mark spots, drifting lines and map detail is more up to date than hard copy charts. developers replied within one day to a help question I had too, bonus point for apps with real service.
