Love the McDonalds app, it’s feature of points is incredible and the 30 days 30 deals & monopoly event are really what proves McDonalds effort for its customers. Although one thing that I do struggle with is prices I wish on the menu on the app had the prices or else I have to search it. Say I was trying to find the basic peice of a small fry it wouldn’t say. Please add In this feature 🤦♀️
Awfully slow app, and I have a new device with fresh iOS. Constantly freezing. Codes for Monopoly don't read correctly half of the time, you have to angle your device in a weird way. But the fun part start when you reach so many codes scanned: it refuses to scan them in general, making it harder and more annoying for you since you have to type it in manually. Tested that on multiple devices, even those that aren't iOS. Just McDonalds not wanting to give out prizes. Ah yes, and the chest limit - after so many codes (a miserable amount, btw) you aren't granted them anymore. This is so awkward to watch a huge company with millions in additional revenue from Monopoly hype doing this over prizes. And this is on top of Monopoly being almost no winnable in general. Yikes.
I’ve gotten a hand me down phone (iPhone 8+) from my sister and I was trying to get back my apps but for some reason this mc Donald’s doesn’t want to work. Everytime I install it says soemthing is wrong with my time and date settings since it’s not on automatic but I’ve literally checked 100 times and my settings are fine. after a while of refreshing it goes to the ‘it’s not you it’s us’ page. this app works perfectly fine on my old phone (iPhone 6s plus) and I have signed out of the account in case the was the problem but it still doesn’t want to work. I really do like the app but currently I am upset since I don’t get my Macca deals!!!
Regular issues with the app. Very average and infrequently updates specials. Not a fan. Offers in the app also incorrectly indicating that these have been redeemed already, which is impossible and could be more bugs with the app. It is not clear whether this is als an intentional or accidental “dark pattern” to lure people into stores. Bad privacy as data practices are also used that are not compliant with ethical privacy and data use. E.g. full personal information including home address etc is required to submit a “contact us” form. Only data necessary for this purpose should be collected. Collecting excessive personal information is not good practice for any responsible vendor.
The deals are great because whether you’re buying for yourself or with a family, there is a wide range to pick from. Also if you would like something small then you probably have points that let you get an additional meal you wouldn’t have had for free. This app is great and lifts the McDonalds service to a new level
I’d been using the app for a long time without issue. Suddenly last week McDonald’s, without any notice at all, dropped support for iPhone 7. I am unable to download the latest update, which requires iOS 16, which isn’t available on iPhone 7.This sudden change without any communication at all is very frustrating. Unfortunately this means I’ll need to go for my meals somewhere else going forward. Very disappointing McDonalds app developers. Shame on you for not commutating with your users.
