Turns your iPhone/iPad into a powerful Outdoor, Off-Road GPS. If you’re looking for Topo Maps, or Hema 4x4 Maps for Australia or New Zealand to work offline on your iPhone or iPad, this is the place to start.
Once your choice of maps are downloaded to your iPhone/iPad, cellular network coverage or internet connection is not required for real time GPS navigation (as long as your device supports a GPS function).
The app is designed to be used standalone, but it can also used with the free PC or Mac app where maps and GPS data can be shared with your home computer for planning, printing and 3D visualisation. Then sync everything to your iPhone/iPad and enjoy navigating outdoors with high quality maps.
When you get home, you can transfer your tracklog and points of interest back onto your computer, to archive and to analyse your trip; speed, time, distance, elevation profile, etc.
If you're serious about your outdoor adventures, you'll appreciate this no frills, full featured navigation app and the high-quality maps and charts.

Great App for backcountry and offshore adventures
This is a really useful app whether tramping, fishing or hunting in NZ. The topo hunt maps give clear boundaries for public and private land.
Map use is intuitive and better than any handheld GPS on a large screen iPhone.
Setting routes and marks is easy and can be viewed in 3D on the PC.
To improve: map download speed to IOS via WiFi. Also syncing routes, tracks and marks with PC needs to be simpler.
Saved me on first use
Followed an off road track today, backcountry, NZ South Island, Used this app for the first time. Saved me after 500 meters after taking a wrong turn heading down a 10km dead end track. Able to correct my mistake and head back to the right track. App has LOTS of detail, works offline and it is easy to use. Highly recommended.

Great app that works when offline and no reception which is most places in NZ that are worth going to. Negative reviews obviously never ventured further than 2 km out of a city or offshore.
