Supporting contactless data exchange has become important to all industries where there is direct interaction with customers.
The success of QR codes is directly related to the lighting, paper it's printed on, print size, the clarity of the ink, the customer's understanding of how to "scan", and whether their camera app natively supports processing the QR code.
QR codes introduce a high probability of "friction" in the customer's journey.
Menu+ is based on NFC "tap" technology. Like tapping credit card to make a payment, a customer taps the Menu+ card with their phone, which will take them to the restaurant's online menu via their phone's browser. 95% of smartphones in use today support NFC "tap" technology. The customer experience is "simple" which avoids any friction in their journey.
