Average

The app is generally pretty average. Scheduling is an absolute headache. There is limited freedom to work an all day run. It randomly schedules runs without user authorisation. And on top of that you are required to confirm runs throughout the week after you have already scheduled them, otherwise they will be re allocated. Which creates a continual headache of needing to go in to the app all the time to do this.
The app randomly re boots and attempts to update as you are using it. It nags to turn off wifi then reboots as soon as you do that. Then re boots again when you go to start a delivery run. It searches for updates on every opening or re boot which is a pain in the dick.
Also is continually tracks the user as there is no option to activate tracking only while app is in use.

🤷‍♂️

Menulog is useless compared to Uber Eats especially in NZ. Uber Eats allows their customers more flexibility with less restrictive delivery hours. All McDonald’s restaurants on Uber Eats app are open for delivery 24/7 allowing independent delivery partners the ability to deliver to customers any time around the clock 24/7, whereas Menulog delivery hours are restricted to between 11am and 10pm. It would be better if Menulog started getting more competitive with Uber Eats

Want to earn $10/hr (before expenses)?

Get ready to get treated like garbage and earn next to nothing… with zero support from Menulog when you need it. I hope you like sitting around doing nothing… because Menulog miscalculates the time it takes restaurants to prepare orders, resulting in a 10+ minute wait at every place you go. Every question to ‘support’ is answered with a generic copy-paste response, and don’t expect a consistent income (unless you count consistently disappointing). Having done this in my spare time almost daily for the last 2 months in Wellington and Auckland I can genuinely conclude that you will make sub-minimum wage, and that’s before any vehicle expenses come into play. In summary:

- rude staff
- inconsistent order quantities
- low pay (less than minimum wage)
- no support for drivers
- poor algorithm for allocating orders and food preparation time

Avoid.
