What’s new: our new meter reading experience is live, which is great news for those customers who need to submit meter readings. Now you can submit your own meter reading in our app, which could reduce the need for estimates, giving you a more accurate billing for the energy you use.

Yay!!! Mercury finally have an app! Enjoying the fact that my steps can help earn points but would be nice if your usage/bills etc would be able to be accessed through the app and NOT redirect you to the webpage...
Does Not Count Steps Accurately
It would be great, however I have not gained entry to a number of challenges having put the effort in, as the app does not sync correctly the number of steps. I use a fitness tracker which syncs with the phone and the phone has a built in tracker. iPhone 8 Plus. Example: phone shows I have done 7000 steps on the Mercury App it shows 223 - massive variance. Makes it pointless entering the challenges. Also disappointing to do the work and discover it is not logging correctly. Is there a fix? Why does this continue to happen? I have told Mercury and nothing ever seems to be done about it.

I think it’s a great idea that your steps can earn you dollars, I make sure I’m hitting my challenges, makes living in Auckland that little bit closer to affordable (I can dream right). Be aware, you have to log in and check your challenge daily as there have been a few challenges that ended and because I didn’t check, I didn’t get the points.
Please either make another app or include in this app all the functionality you’d expect in your power providers app, look at the app of any of your competitors. We want usage data, bill info, savings tips etc. in app. Thanks.

Glad to hear you're liking the challenges. We're working on improving the challenge checks and we've fixed a logout issue so I hope you start to see improvements. In our latest release last we also added a usage graph and are planning more account-based functions in the future, so watch out for these!
