Solid game

Fun monster Hunter game, the combat is surprisingly good, the progression is fun. The different weapons play quite differently but still work very well on the touch screen.

Seriously disappointing

I really want to like this game. As a hardcore monster hunter fan, having played over 6 different games and put the better part of 2000 hours into the game I was so excited to hear a monster hunter mobile game like Pokémon go. Sad to say it has fallen short on most fronts. Riddled with microtransactions you very quickly get stuck behind a paywall where monsters are too hard to fight and give so little drops you spend ages farming only to be hit by an attack that one shots you.

Combat is unresponsive at best and downright atrocious at worst. Even with a good phone you’re most likely going to get hit by a easily avoidable attack where in any monster hunter game you’d easily be able to dodge.

I don’t mind micro purchases but the items available are so useless it doesn’t pay off. Evidently it’s just a money hungry company looking to leech off of a promising franchise. If you’re going to have such extortionate prices, make it at least worth it ? And add a bigger variety of buffs, sword and shield oils, demon drug, armour drug, would be easy additions for quality of life.

Make paintballs freely available to find not stuck behind a paywall for gods sake it’s a basic item in the game. Make items to craft, health potions shouldn’t be a scarce item.

Disappointing and upsetting. I don’t think I’ll be playing much longer unless I actually see some quality of life changes.

Do better.

Pretty good game

Really well put together and made. Has the classic monster hunter feel along with some of the iconic monsters. I understand it is in early stages of development, but it definitely lacks the amount of monsters in the game.

Apart from that, it’s easy to understand, easy to play and in general quite fun. However, the multiplayer feature seems to be broken. In my experience friend codes don’t work, and when you want to start a hunt with nearby friends, the QR scan doesn’t work either. It definitely takes away a fun aspect of the game. All and all, it’s solid and I’m excited to see where it goes.
