To use the My Southern Cross app you need to be a Southern Cross health insurance member and be registered for My Southern Cross. By claiming through the app you agree to receiving communications online in My Southern Cross. * Except for members on the HealthEssentials plan.

Why allow biometric if you just kick people out?

There’s a huge amount to like about this app, but when the basics fail it hurts the whole experience. Why do you prompt people to set up Face ID and all that jazz, then frequently pop up with “your session has expired” and force password, then setting up Face ID all over again? Please please please fix this. If I’ve enabled Face ID my session should not frequently “expire” that’s madness.

Great if you don’t change policy holder

Excellent app making life easy to claim. The problem for me is when there is a change in policy holder, as there is an inability to log out of the app and log someone else in. Especially when all member information remains the same. It’s a PAIN. Have even deleted app and associated date, and reinstalled. We now can’t use the app and need to revert back to paper based and pay postage every time. Time & resource waste.

Can’t even log in

Downloaded the app, tried to log in, and couldn’t because of an apparent connection error. This is despite the fact that I’m definitely connected and every other app on my phone can use the internet just fine.

To add insult to injury, the developer response was to tell me to email the mobile app team. I promptly did so, only to be given an automated response telling me that the mobile app team “only accepts messages from people in its organisation or on its allowed senders list” This is a bit poor to say the least.
