Nighthawk AX5 RAX43
Great piece of kit for average home user, wifi is now way superior to our old ISP router. Simple to set up, BUT connect to your old router first, with all other devices removed. Make fir seamless connection and setup. Once all new settings are made plug into your fibre box and you’re away.
Great to have seperate normal and guest networks with no interference or latency between the two.
Was going to get the RAX80, but for coin, this is perfect for home.

Great unit, very good upload and download speed compared to the standard Nz spark modem(3x faster).
Only drawback was when setting up it wouldn’t connect to the internet because the w lan settings where wrong for Nz and had to pay a tech to input the correct settings.
Please include the settings for each country and how to change them or just pre set them before sending them out.
Would make the product perfect and the customer would be able to connect and use the router straight away.

Not good
Nighthawk MR60 is difficult to setup. Its definitely not easy and its not for people who don’t know technology and how to configure routers. I had google and do my research in order to configure nighthawk with spark nz.
Nighthawk is full of issues. Rebooting router from the app actually creates more issues. Manual removing of power cable and reconnecting have to performed for it to reconnect to internet.
Weirdly smart devices keeps dropping and have to reset all. Even I recycled WAP name and password but some smart devices still had to be reset as new. Took me half a day to get all done.
