Description
The PM eCollection eReader app is part of a brand new platform that re-imagines guided reading for iPads. Guided reading is a widely used teaching strategy where the teacher and all students in a group have a copy of the same book. The teacher assists the students to practise various reading strategies in order to comprehend the text. The PM eCollection eReader app allows teachers and students to use PM eBooks for guided reading. It utilises native iOS gestures to provide a seamless experience for young readers.

Buggy interface
My kid’s school uses this for distance learning, so I have to stand this buggy as software.
Have to retype user name and password every time I open this. Loses your recording once you turn to next page. If you turn pages too fast, it shows a blank screen for several seconds and then return to the first page. Buttons do not display properly, eg. Login button is L…n , home button is H..m. UI and interaction feel like from last century.
Sorry for been so harsh, but I think a good software engineer undergraduate could have done a better job designing this.

Thank you for your feedback. The recording tool allows students to record each page separately, enabling the teacher to receive a copy of this recording to evaluate the student’s fluency and comprehension and provide feedback. Whilst the book is still open you will be able to listen to your recordings via the Record function and selecting the My Recording tool. Once the book is closed and returned to the bookshelf, the recording is automatically sent to the teacher.
If your child is having difficulty typing in the password you can request that their teacher change the password. Each password must contain at least 4 letters and/or numerals, for example 1111 or 1234.
The iOS app does require consistent internet access and if using the web browser app, Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge is recommended for faster performance. The buttons will display the icons and show the full word once you have selected the home or login button allowing for simpler navigation.
