Worth checking out but feels neglected

I want to like this software. For something which is free this certainly includes a lot of capabilities.

From the pov of a new user, it feels like the author got it 95% finished then decided it was good enough. The controls aren't consistent with normal Mac behaviour (you shouldn't need to click on the right end of popups, it lets you select any text file to open then tells you it's not a RocketCake document etc).

Would also be nice if the browser preview auto-updated as changes were made.

As the efforts from an individual developer, it's a brilliant piece of work. But it can't compete with software outfits who have a team of designers and coders.

Perhaps that makes it perfect for the equivalent web designer – good enough means just that?

Works well for my simple website

I've created and maintain a simple one page website for our local newsletter using RocketCake. It works pretty well and I especially like the way the web page displays well on a range of devices. Thanks, Guys.

Couldn't Open Existing HTML files

I downloaded this as an alternative to BlueGriffon which has issues running under Ventura. Unfortunately it is unable to load any of the files in the site I want to edit, either html or php, so no good for my purposes.

It may well be fine for creating simple sites from scratch but that is not my use case...
