The best rugby app and it’s free

Have started to use RugbyPass for daily news and stats. It’s all original stuff and not just stolen from other sources. The video is great and I’ve just subscribed to the RugbyPass TV which is only $1 and has loads of good video.

So nice to see rugby get an app that treats it like it’s worthy of attention. Kept it up!

Not super glossy, but solid app.

First, all those kiwis giving this one star because the service isn’t available in NZ need to learn how broadcast agreements work. The reason why NZ Rugby is so wealthy is due to agreements they sign with broadcasters for exclusive rights so these guys can’t open this up to many markets. Especially ones where Rugby is popular.

Second, learn to use a VPN. This service is pretty clear on what countries can access it (mainly Asia). It takes 15 mins to become one of those countries.

The App itself is not amazing in this day in age. Finding past games can be a chore. Live games are easy as they are on the home screen. Switching live games is a few taps. I only remove a star as I think the interface could be slicker. But honestly, nothing terrible about it.

The service is great. Streaming live or played matches at 720p is flawless over fibre. Even with bouncing over VPN. The range of matches is amazing. And beats the hell out of sky as a service. I’ll be sticking with it for TRC.
