Learn how to safely introduce more than 300 foods to baby. Each food has free detailed nutrition information, choking & allergen guidance, specific instructions on how to cut and serve the food based on baby's age, videos of real babies eating the food, and more.
The Solid Starts app has been devised by a team of doctors, feeding specialists, swallowing specialists, and dieticians. Quickly search for a food (eggs, chicken, strawberries, anything!) and feel confident in exactly how to prepare it for baby.
Want to track foods or access recipes? With a paid subscription, you can record baby's progress with a digital food log, track baby's favourite foods, make a list of foods you'd like to try later, and track any foods baby has had a reaction to which you can share with doctors and caregivers. Subscribers also have access to a searchable database of more than 300 recipes.

SO informative
Thank you so much for making this accessible for everyone. I can’t imagine the amount of time that has (and continues to) go into this magical database. Whenever I want to try and give my child something new, I just quickly search for the safest way to cut the item. But Solid Starts has also taught me so much that I now have a pretty good idea of how best to cut the food to make it safe, even without referring to it constantly. I can imagine my child having a very limited fruit and veg BLW journey if it wasn’t this easy to search. Thank you!

This app is awesome for guiding parents through starting solids with their babies. I feel so confident and comfortable giving my baby a variety of foods that I never thought she might be able to eat at such a young age! The tracker is very handy for remembering whether bub had a reaction and has a handy reference guide for the size of the food your baby should be able to handle. Thanks Solid Starts for giving me the ability to step away from purées!
Good but Disappointed in paid version
I am disappointed in the information in the paid version. I would like to be able to have a big list of the tried foods and if this exists I can’t find it. I live all the info and the recipes etc I find it really useful but I don’t think the features in the paid version are worth it. I would love to be able to make a plan for when I am going to try new foods especially as I have a little one who is a bit sensistive to foods so being able to visually organise this would be super helpful.
