Good concept

I do like the idea of this and not having to go through listening to the computer slowly read out phone numbers dates and times before getting to the actual message is great!
However not getting messages for days after doesn’t work for me. People don’t believe you if you blame the app or say you don’t have a message then get it 2 days later.
Plus it has a habit of reviving deleted messages
About ready to bin it and go back to listening to the old message system if that’s even possible 🤷‍♂️🤯

Hi, thanks for the feedback. Notifications settings you have on your phone can affect how you are advised there is a new message, these can be changed when power saving settings kick in and the push notification can be delayed. We would suggest turning on the 'Receive SMS Notifications' option in the Voicemail App preferences, as that will always then send you an SMS immediately advising you have a new Voicemail. The App will update when you open it. You can also 'pull down' on the App Voicemails screen to get it to refresh.

You can always also turn on all the standard SMS notifications from the Voicemail platform and this is also always available to listen and get messages.
Call into your voicemail 122 or 083210. From the Main Menu, Press 3 for personal options. Press 3 for message waiting notifications. Press 2 to set up message notifications to a Spark mobile. Follow the voice prompts to turn these on.

Pointless app that is almost as slow as pigeon post

I downloaded this as I got a message to say I’d lose saved messages unless I downloaded this and saved them via the new app. I downloaded the app. My saved and cherished messages of someone’s voice have disappeared.
That’s fine. It is what it is. Except that as the days go on, I realise the app is so slow with notifications it doesn’t actually tell you until pretty much 24 hours later that you have a message!!! I have no indications of a missed call. No obvious signs of messages. Just a text the next day to tell me that there are voicemail messages to listen to from 23 hours ago. Yes 23 hours ago. For important phone calls that I have been waiting for. Just imagine if that was an emergency situation. Thankfully it is only concerning medical related appointments I’d been waiting to hear back about. Only. I’m really not impressed spark. I expect better service for the price we pay to use your services in the first place!!!

Hi, sorry your notifications are not working as expected. Can you check you allowed the Spark Voicemail App permissions for 'Allow Notifications' in your device Settings - if this was denied you won't get advised of a message. The SMS is a backup if the app wasn't opened for a new message. You can also turn on standard Realtime SMS for a new message by Calling into your voicemail (dial 083210) at the menu, Press 3 for personal options. Press 3 for message waiting notifications, ringing options or call forward options. Press 2 to set up message notifications to a Spark mobile. Follow the voice prompts to enable these.

Terrible

I downloaded this app a few weeks ago in hopes that it would provide some relief from Spark’s horrible voicemail redesign (absolutely hate it, don’t even get me started). When I downloaded this, it populated my list with about 30 voicemails I’d already deleted over the last few months, and every time it refreshes, I get these in a different order, some new ones pop up, and some don’t appear at all. There is no option to delete all, so I’m stuck having to comb through them one by one. When I do get a notification for a new voicemail and I go to the app, I’m unable go find said voicemail because of all the old, deleted ones cluttering up my box, and even when I took the time to comb through all of these, the new voicemail STILL WASN’T THERE. The transcription service is also terribly inaccurate, but that’s the least of my worries.

Developer Response ,

Hi, thanks for taking the time to provide a review. Sorry that you are having an issue and that the new Voicemail platform isn't working well for you. There is an issue with some devices that causes the deleted items to 're-appear' we are looking to correct this in the next App release. You are also correct that there is no 'Delete All' option - but there is a select multiple and delete that you can use from the Inbox, click on the 'pen' symbol next to the 3 dots '...' - this will allow you to select multiple inbox voicemails and delete them to the recently deleted folder. The issue with the new message not displaying immediately appears due to the way that iOS and App management can put the Voicemail App to sleep or stop it in the background (power management). This is also being addressed in the next App release.
