St John Ambulance is determined that no one should die because they needed first aid and didn’t get it.

This app includes the latest first aid advice and protocols for dealing with emergency situations. It is simple to follow with illustrated guides and voiced instructions.

The app doesn’t replace the benefits of learning first aid on a St John Ambulance course, nor is it as in depth as a full first aid manual. But when there is an emergency, it will help you to know what to do to in those few crucial moments when basic knowledge of first aid can make the difference.

Nothing is more tragic than a life lost needlessly. You can be the difference between life and death.

Please note: The first aid advice is based solely upon UK protocols. Both the UK and European emergency service numbers are provided.

Simple and practical in every way except local details

Very practical and easy to use in an emergency.

The one major issue is: when you buy it it gives no indication that it only displays US emergency numbers, it needs to have the option of putting in your own countries details (like NZ's 111).

Other than that definitely worth having for emergencies.

Not worth it..

I thought paying 5 dollars for the app I could keep it for an emergency but everything in it is soo brief and end up saying, call the ambulance. Shouldn't this app be something of a help to victim without a doctor for a longer period of time instead of telling them to wait for an ambulance. Anyone in their right mind obviously will wait for an ambulance but it should be used when there isn't one, so it should explain further in case there isn't an ambulance, what should we do to keep the victim surive for longer period.

Shouldn't pay 5bug to tell people to wait for an ambulance.

Good start.

This app is really good, except it doesn't cover shock which is common in serious accidents. Personally I'm a fire fighter and I purchased this app to refresh my first aid knowledge and for reference, subsequintly I've noticed a few things that are very brief, but as a guide for civilians it's a fantastic start
