Great concept, quality material, but the app/interface could be better

This is a great concept for people who want to work on their flexibility, and the material is good quality, but the app itself is not well made. I’m reviewing it hoping they will work out these things, because I want to keep using it :-)

1. The instruction will say do 8 arm circles but there is no time (the on screen instructor doesn’t do them either). So you have to pause the workout just to do the circles, and the restart. It means you can’t finish actually in 30 minutes.
2. If you’ve signed up for a challenge and change your mind, you can’t get it out of your calendar.
3. You have to download the video to see the workouts, and then scroll through it. It would be a lot easier to be able to see the stretches before hand so you can see how they’re done, and you don’t spend the short tutorial time trying to learn to do the stretch properly.

Thanks for the app otherwise, it’s been fun :-)

Hi there! Thank you for the feedback.
(1) The idea is to keep the movement going without interruption. Please start an exercise with the video and then adjust your movement according to the voice cues. If an exercise is new to your body, it may take some time to figure it out. So you may not be able to do the recommended amount of reps. And that's ok! Don’t feel the need to rush or pause the video. Just complete fewer reps and move on. It’ll get better with practice.
(2) You can cancel the challenge in the Settings and it will disappear from your calendar. (3) We understand that training may seem a little overwhelming at the beginning, but the classes feel much easier with the repeated use. Once your body is comfortable with the movement, you'll be able to get into a pose faster and hold it longer. Try to take the same class a few times and see how it goes.

Pretends to be personalised

Trying for 6 weeks now and the videos move so fast it barely feels like I’m holding poses for long enough have any benefits. My splits course Class stepped up to way above my level half way through the course, and the app recommended me to drop the course, without recommending a replacement course that is better suited to my flexibility. Can’t say I would recommend to anyone. Insanely expensive for what it is.

Hi! Thank you for the feedback. I've forwarded it to the relevant team. There are currently two types of beginner classes on the app: Level 1: Classes for absolute beginners which were created for those who never stretched before. They provide additional modifications and run at a slower pace. Level 2: More challenging beginner classes, which suit those who have some stretching experience but are not ready to move to the Intermediate level yet. If you follow a program, then please switch to the Absolute Beginner level (tap the name of the program on the Home screen -» Settings in the top right corner -» the Absolute Beginner level -» tap 'Update program'). If you pick classes manually from the Classes list, please stick to our Level 1 classes (Classes on the bottom menu -» Difficulty -» Level 1). Those classes were tested and approved by absolute beginners. At first, you may find it difficult to keep up with the pace of the class. The idea is to keep the movement going without interruption. So try to start an exercise with the video and then adjust your movement according to the voice cues. If an exercise is new to your body, it may take some time to figure it out. And that's ok! Don’t feel the need to rush through it or to pause the video every time. Just complete fewer reps and move on. It will get better with practice. Once your body is comfortable with the movement, you’ll be able to get into a pose faster and hold it longer. Also, you can use a speed control option on the STRETCHIT app/website (open a class, tap the Settings icon in the top/bottom right corner of the video, and set up the speed). Please only go as far as your body allows. Once you’re comfortable with all the exercises and modifications, you can switch to the 'more challenging' beginner classes. Not free - you need a membership

The download is free but other than that you can’t do anything without a membership. You can sign up for a seven day free trial, but other than that...

Hi Ally! The app is not being advertised as free. Our pricing terms are mentioned on the App Store Description, Terms of Service, FAQ and on social media. Our subscriptions start with a 7-day FREE trial which can be cancelled anytime so that users can decide if they like our unique training program and if the app is worth paying for. Except for the free trial we don't offer free classes on the app. We take our responsibilities as an employer seriously and we believe our employees deserve to be fairly compensated for the work they do.
