Description
The Tesla app puts owners in direct communication with their vehicles and energy products anytime, anywhere. With this app, you can:
– Check charging progress in real time and start or stop charging
– Heat or cool your car before driving – even if it's in a garage
– Lock or unlock from afar
– Locate your vehicle with directions or track its movement
– Send an address from your favourite apps to start navigation in your car
– Allow your passengers to quickly control media
– Flash lights or beep the horn to find your vehicle when parked
– Vent or close the panoramic roof
– Summon your vehicle out of your garage or a tight parking space (for vehicles with Autopilot)
– Update your vehicle software from wherever you are
– Engage with Powerwall: monitor how much energy is stored from solar, used by your home or exported to the grid
– Download your solar production and battery usage data

Needs additional functionality
Specifically on charging, it’d be great if you can schedule charging at specific times daily, multiple times a time and be able to set multiple peak and off peak hours daily. There’s a start charging time but you can’t set end charging. The two functions cancel each other out.
Also, it would be great if you can attribute charging sessions the three different places. Sometimes you charge at home but the gps says you are not and these skews the graphs and info.
Sign out and in between product installs
Unfortunately, I installed two Energy products in one day and each required a “new site” to be created. Creating a second “new” site would have not been necessary if I had signed out and in from the App before installing the second product. Now, sadly, I have two different “sites” with the same name and each containing only one product.
It would be a nice additional feature to be able to remove multiple sites and consolidate products onto one.
Good app but limited international time zone support
The app is good, with easy to use functionality. However there is limited support of international time zones for users New Zealand. All my super charging sessions are shown as taking place on the previous day. Also when looking at the charge stats, the monthly cost for charging does not add up the the amount shown for the total amount spent for the year
