The Curry Guy app features over 250 recipes (over 25 of which are free of charge). Each of these recipes includes illustrated step-by-step instructions, designed to keep things simple in the kitchen.
The Indian restaurant style recipes are the result of years of travelling up and down the UK, visiting countless restaurants and learning the tricks of the trade from some of the best chefs in the industry. From chicken tikka masala to lamb vindaloo, onion bhajis to tandoori chicken, you are certain to find the curry house style recipes you love.
In addition, the app features other popular curried or spiced dishes from around the world – you'll find delicious Indonesian, Thai, Mexican, Korean and Japanese recipes are available.

Poor app version of a great book
Downloads an immense amount of pictures first off, and the majority of recipes are locked behind a $7.50 charge. The price really needs to be upfront, because when they do it this way the developer really does Dan a great disservice. In app purchases are fine but the way this is done and the amount of pictures that come as an additional download instead of with the core app is poor planning.

The step-by-step instructions we've included do come with a lot of images. We could have left images out but as visual aids they're an important part of the app. When it first opens, the app downloads all images needed for the free recipes. When you purchase the remainder, there is another download to complete the set. This seems like the most efficient way to handle things and the reason we don't just bundle everything in with the core app is because Dan has the ability to provide updated / additional recipes independently of app updates (any updates are free to those who have purchased so watch this space).
Some people will always prefer an up-front purchase rather than pay in-app, but by giving people a free taster we're hoping to help introduce Dan's recipes to a new audience, as well as give the already-converted a useful resource in a different format.
