Farfaalle ,

Thank you

Am an Italian reader from New Zealand and I would like to congratulate you for your excellent and clear articles.
I learnt the English language, which I love, back in 1969 through ‘73, I was working for Westaway and Westaway a Scottish garments shop by British museum.
I used Togo to work with my Guardian and Observer, so I have been following you for a long time.
I was part of a team of staff from all over the world, I forged there wonderful friendships. The owners partners, very “English” people were lovely and generous and they had a great time with us foreigners and us with them.
We never had racial problems, not even a hint.
I have a daughter in London and I go back, not regularly enough,
And I always enjoy “my” London.
But what would London be without the great multitude of ethnicities?
On the side, am still learning your beautiful language reading The Guardian.
I haven’t contributed with a donation, my London daughter suggested she can do it for me, as I don’t deal with money via internet.
Thank you for this opportunity, good luck with Brexit issue, I hope you will be part of Europe
Regards,
Raffaella Gianoli Turner

NairbM ,

Best Newspaper ever for ‘True & Accurate News’. . . .

I was introduced to the ‘Guardian Weekly’, by my then boss, some forty odd years ago and it has followed me, my job, my family and my friends around the world ever since. It has enabled me and my family to get unbiased and accurate international news and opinion regularly each week, so that we could be kept ‘au fait’, and in a timely fashion, with how the world was coping with its’ many problems! I started off in the UK, and subsequently have been employed through the USA, Canada, and latterly New Zealand. The only way to get a consistent source of unbiased accurate news was to take out a subscription to the ‘The Guardian Weekly’. Something that we have never regretted subsequently. It’s new and modified format, though in some ways somewhat unexpected, is easier to handle, but has still maintained both its’ editorial breadth, accuracy and interest. Yours sincerely, Dr Brian Mahood,
